The B. Pharmacy (LEET) programme is a three-year undergraduate course that aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences. It is designed for students who have completed a diploma in pharmacy and wish to further their education. The curriculum covers various aspects of pharmacy, such as pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmacotherapeutics. Students are also trained in drug development, drug regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance.

Scope

This aims to provide knowledge and skills necessary for the pharmaceutical industry. It covers topics like pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and drug formulation. The course has a wide scope, with opportunities in research, development, manufacturing, marketing, and quality control of pharmaceutical products. Graduates can work as pharmacists in hospitals, retail pharmacies, or clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective medication use. They can also pursue roles in pharmaceutical marketing, quality control, regulatory affairs, and drug development.

Eligibility Criteria

All candidates who have successfully completed a diploma in pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, are eligible under the following conditions:

  • D.Pharm holders admitted directly into the second year of B. Pharmacy must pass the subjects of the first year of B. Pharmacy that are not covered in the D.Pharm curriculum.

 

  • The total number of admissions in the second year of B. Pharmacy should not exceed the sanctioned intake of the first year plus 10% of the seats of the sanctioned intake of the first year.

 

  • Vacancies in the first year of B. Pharmacy filled in the second year should only be those that remained vacant in the first year and were not created due to student failures or non-permission for examinations due to attendance issues.
