Reserved Category Cell at Chandigarh Pharmacy College, Jhanjeri supports students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). It ensures equal opportunities in academics and extracurricular activities by implementing government policies and guidelines related to reservations and scholarships.

The cell offers counselling, remedial classes, mentoring, and career guidance to help students overcome academic and personal challenges. Additionally, it provides a platform for addressing grievances related to discrimination or other issues, ensuring timely resolution.

Through workshops, seminars, and awareness programs, the cell promotes social inclusion and highlights the contributions of SC/ST/OBC communities. Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment, the Reserved Category Cell enables all students to thrive and succeed regardless of their social background.

Objectives

  • Facilitation & Support: To provide necessary assistance, guidance, and resources to individuals from reserved categories to ensure success in academic and professional spheres
  • Awareness & Sensitization: To conduct awareness campaigns and sensitization programs to foster empathy regarding the barriers faced by individuals from marginalized communities
  • Grievance Redressal: To establish a responsive mechanism to address grievances and complaints related to discrimination or bias, ensuring a fair and just environment
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: To regularly monitor the implementation of reservation policies and evaluate their effectiveness in promoting inclusion and diversity
  • Capacity Building & Empowerment: To organise training workshops and skill development initiatives to enhance the capabilities and confidence of individuals from reserved categories
